GAME #1 RULES

Putting it up here as a post because... IT IS WAY TOO LONG TO BE A COMMENT.

Blind Man's Bluff — Deco style

Mingle: 6PM EST (7am my time)
Game start: 7PM EST (8am my time)

Rules:
* This game is called "Blind Man's Bluff". Each team will be provided with a random card from the deck, but, they will not be allowed to see what their card is. The only cards they will see are the cards of their opponents. After each team is given a card, a round of betting will follow.

For the purpose of this game, you may imagine a holographic card floating above each member of each team. But, as already stated, members of a certain team cannot see their own cards.

* 1) A team may bet anything that they may think is fun. Examples would be: a date with the teammate of your choice, our team cleaning your dorm for a day. "Fun", in this case, will be defined by the members of the team. Since this is a non-trauma game, body parts, lives, etc. are not allowed to be betted. Examples of things you may bet are “King’s bed” (Canary), or “Sunshine’s services” (Copper Rose), or something! ALL BETS COME WITH A TIME LIMIT: a day or two, Deco time.

If, say, you are on Lilac, and you if you win, you want something from ANOTHER TEAM/PERSON, please ask them first OOCly if they’re cool with it before placing the bet! An example would be Musica betting “Cheshire giving every girl in Deco a lapdance” if Lilac wins. Then I would have to ask Jeva for permission if it’s cool with her first!

* 2) Each team has three options during a round: bet, which has already been defined; fold, which means they will discard their card and forfeit for the round; and finally, raise, which IN THIS GAME means you can change your bet to something better, or add on to your previous bet. No team is allowed to pass or check.

* 3) There will be three rounds. Each round of bets and/or raising will last for one hour (will be extended if need be). Afterwards, the winning team will be revealed and will automatically receive all bets. Once a team wins, they cannot play for the rest of the rounds. They will move on to endgame.

4) All bets will be publicized. The only purpose of the team post is to reveal the cards of the other teams. However, you may still use the teampost for secret discussions or what not. Basically, GO CRAZY and jump one another when it comes to betting or raising! Dealer will NOT mediate any of the betting and or raising. He will only come in for the final decision of each team. However, if any IC questions need to be answered, please ping me and link me and I will get in on that ASAP.

* 5) The order of the suits from greatest to least is as follows: / / ♠ / ♣, with King being the highest card for each suit, and Ace being the lowest.

* 6) HOW TO WIN: There are different ways to win! If your team manages to get certain teams to fold, that’s your advantage! But it all really depends on your team’s tactics and luck. If your team manages to get another team to fold, it adds to your team’s chances of winning. BASICALLY, GO CRAZY WITH BLUFFING! That’s the point of the game. Even if your team may have a shitty card and your strategy is good? A+, you win!

7) There will be three teams winning each round, one team for the “best strategy” which the Dealer will judge (I promise I will not be biased), and one loser team for effort!

* - You may assume your character has been informed of these particular rules.

How your team will get a card:
Because everything will be completely randomised, this is the system that I will place in the game: the Dealer will give each team a coin and dice (2). The team will then do a coin toss and pick a number from 1-12, or roll dice IDK random.org is your best friend! You are free to just roll one die.

What I will be doing, in person, is that I will have a completely shuffled and random deck of cards--which I have not touched in any way to manipulate what team will get which card. The deck will be split in half, and each half will be reshuffled for further randomising.

The coin toss will determine which half of the deck I will choose your card from. The number on the dice will determine how many cards I will discard before I get to your team’s card.

You will not know what your card is until the round ends.

((Rules have already been cleared with Haruto! If you have any concerns with the game, please PM me at Rize on IRC, not him! Thanks!))
